Tiling completed, Painting Started (d89)

Today I got a called from my SS. He tentatively tells me that my PCI is due for the 21st of December. I'm not sure how confident he is with that date. The only thing I'm concerned with is the tiler who is only a one man crew, and he is slow. Great attention to detail though.

The program is, 19th Nov, Painting will be completed
Week starting the 22nd Nov, fit out will begin, electrical & plumbing
Tiler will be back on the 29th to complete the tiling. 3 weeks to finish (maybe possible)
I have organised my water-tank to be delivered on the 29th of Nov

I guess I have a countdown now. 42 Days to go

See the wrap on the front door.
Wrap on windows.

Driveway to go here.
What to do? Water tank plumbing
Gas hotwater system will go here.
Water tank here (due on the 29th, I had to organise this, not through Metricon)
Frnech doors
First coat of external paint to eaves
Closer look at door
Painted under here.

Telephone connection needed.

Still tiling (d83)

I swear the tiler has been here two weeks or so. He's good at his job, but is taking his time. He's a one man band. Such a contrast to the crew of brickies and roof tilers, that I am used to. He's only doing the wet areas which is a small area, but I guess there's a lot of attention to detail here, a lot of cutting around seals and floor drains too.
Don't know what is happening here. It seems the water if overflowing from the gutters. I'm not sure if there's a blockage or something else. I will have to monitor it on wet days.
How are we looking?

Prep for painting (d82)

I usually do the routine check on the house each day. Once in the morning, on the way to work, and again on the way home. As I came by at about 6pm, the tiler was still there finishing off the grouting to the floor tiles. We warned me that some were still wet. He's laid out the wall tiles, but still yet to do the bath tub. It was great to see the ceasarstone fitted. And we actually got the colour we wanted, the original one we specified was not our prefered type, because it would cost us extra. I think the selection we choose is discontinued.

Actually there have been several things discontinuted since we first signed up 18months ago. Bricks were no longer available, the gas stove top and oven were also discontinued. They have given us the latest model, but bricks we had to reselect.

The painters came for part day to prep the house for painting. Mostly filling nail holes. They will be back to sand back, before painting.

Bathroom shower & wall tiles.
Another view of bathroom wall tiles, taken to 2000mm height.
Kitchen bech top
Island benchtop with sink

Ensuite vanity with basin

Walk in Robe shelves.

We went with the standard shelve, not cupboards or drawers. I'm quite happy with this. I wasn't expecting much.
Pantry shelves.
If you look closely you can see sealant about the soffit panels and timber. The painters have done this for sealing while they paint.

Great view of the french doors. We are going to landscape this into a courtyard for me and the missus. Maybe put an outdoor spa for the romantic nights.

The last bit of the eaves went in an completes the portico.
